It is essential to acknowledge that everyone’s consumption experience of CBD is different. How long CBD takes to work and the amount of dosage can depend on the individual.

There is currently no evidence of any public health-related issues (such as abuse and dependence) associated with long-term CBD usage. It is important to consult your doctor in you are interested in taking CBD.

As the use of CBD continues to rise due to its myriad of benefits, it becomes necessary to turn our focus from the short-term benefits of this herbal supplement to potential long-term effects.

To put it more succinctly, what happens after one hundred days of CBD usage?

While research still needs to be conducted to better determine these effects, there is a current consensus.

When Do the Benefits of CBD Kick In?

Before beginning, it’s essential to acknowledge that while there are definite commonalities, everyone’s CBD consumption experience is different. What works for some people right away may take others days or weeks before they begin to see the benefits. The same is true when speaking just about the length of time, but the daily dosage of CBD, too.

When it comes to alleviating mental or emotional issues, such as depression, some research has shown that CBD improved mood after two weeks of usage. For issues such as pain relief, though, the benefits may be seen on a shorter timetable, if not immediately.

What Are the Concerns of Long-Term CBD Use?

There are two ways to look at the potential concerns of long-term CBD use. The first way, as stated by the World Health Organization, is that there is currently no evidence of any public health-related issues, such as abuse or dependence, that are associated with continued CBD usage.

The second way of thought, though, is that the Federal Drug Administration has not instituted a regulatory program to look at the safety of CBD products on the market. So, while evidence doesn’t currently exist that pure CBD is harmful, we also can’t be sure just how pure most CBD products are.

What Dosage Should You Start At?

If you’re interested in taking CBD, you should consult your doctor. They can work with you to determine the best dosage at which to start. As with all drugs or supplements, there may be a period of titration where you test and adjust the dosage to maximize its effects.
